Our Thirds had another great day at the office and came away from their match v Ard Scoil Old Boys victorious. The win means our thirds have won seven out of seven Gleeson League games – a brilliant feat.

The 20s recorded an impressive win in Tom Clifford Park on Sunday where a 5 try win saw them bag an important bonus point to keep their Donal Walsh ambitions on track.

Reports for all can be found below.

This weekend sees another busy weekend in the Club with out Firsts, Second and Thirds all in action on Friday and Saturday.Friday night in Thomond Park is shaping up to be a great night with very limited spaces left for our pre-match. if you are interested in going contact Kevin ASAP. AIL Round 10
Shannon 24 UCD 20

Our Firsts got the second half of the season off to a good start with a win over UCD in the UCD Bowl. The win saw us move up a place on the table and so we are in 5th place just behind Garryowen going into tomorrows game.

In an entertaining match, both sides gave their all with UCD taking an early lead after landing two penalties. Shannon then took the lead after an Eathon Moloney try and held the lead for the rest of the game. Further tries came from Jack Stafford and Pa Ryan with Ben Daly – making his senior debut – converting all and landing a penalty.

Four points on the road is a fantastic achievement and all eyes will now turn to Thomond Park this Friday night for our next local derby. Its sure to be a fantastic night so make sure you come along!

Gleeson League
Shannon 18 Ard Scoil Old Boys 13

Our Thirds put on another fantastic display last weekend as they welcomed Ard Scoil Old Boys to Coonagh. It is the first time both sides have met since Ard Scoil’s formation with Ard Scoil sitting in second position on the table behind Shannon. Our Thirds – who have put in plenty of brilliant performances so far this year came away with the all important win – seeing them retain their position on top of the Gleeson League. Its now 7/7 wins in the League for our Thirds who have a match in hand and go on to face Old Crescent in the Crescent Comp this weekend at 2.30pm.

Donal Walsh
Shannon 31  Young Munster 7

A brace of tries saw our u20s come away from Tom Clifford Park with the all important bonus point win last Sunday. In sunny but cold conditions our u20s took some time to get firing but when they did – they never looked back. Tries came from Rhys Tucker, Jack O’Mahoney, Glen Clancy and Mike O’Gorman. It was a great team performance and sees our u20’s in 3rd position on the table. They play table toppers Garryowen on Saturday in Dooradoyle.
