Donnacha Ryan Joined Shannon in 2004 from his native Nenagh Ormond. While playing with his home town he was capped for Ireland Youth and U/21 level. Whilst playing with Shannon he was selected to play in the inaugural AIB Club international, but an ankle injury in training denied him that opportunity. A graduate of the Munster Academy, he was involved with Ireland A in the 2008 Churchill cup, and then in the autumn International of the year against Argentina he came off the bench to earn his first senior Cap. He has made sporadic appearances since then, but his versatility saw him selected for the 20011 Rugby world Cup.
